The name camsoft was first coined in 2010 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands by Ewi Eric Kedze, a student in Fontys University of Applied Sciences studying ICT, which after his Internship began to see the big picture of IT as a practical business tool to improve; productivity, communication processes and profitability.
That same year, Ewi Eric Kedze made a stunning statement, “African entrepreneurs must address the need of IT into their businesses in order to compete with the rest of the world”. There in the Netherlands, Nguyen Tuan (Jinn) from Vietnam who now works for Plat4mation B.V. Netherlands & MBI and Prince Songwa from Cameroon who now works with Accenture Netherlands all bought into the vision and became active players in the creation of the business plan and other parts of the business.
In 2012, Eric obtained a bachelor degree in ICT/Software engineering and minor mechatronics. After more than 50 unsuccessful job interviews in the Netherlands, and couple to health problem, Eric, took a decision to return home (Cameroon) in order to pursue his vision, a decision that is hard to make by a young African graduate who aspire to make a better life. This decision proved pivotal to the creation of CAMSOFT GROUP.
In 2013, Eric finally returned home and got wondering with his vision when he came into contact with Mr. Kensam Solomon, an owner of a professional training/computer school called CHIT, bought into the vision and accepted to partner and share workspace with CAMSOFT GROUP.
In 2014, CAMSOFT GROUP obtained its license as a private limited entity in the area of Information Technology and Services Company. That same year, with about 4 members Eric declared the creation of CAMSOFT GROUP Limited in a garage at his uncle's place Hon. Nji Fidelis situated near Central Hospital, Messa Yaounde. With little or no capital, a few months after, CAMSOFT GROUP LIMITED moved to Carrefour Centre d'Handicapé, Etoug Ebe to partner workspace with CHIT.
Despite her challenges CAMSOFT GROUP LIMITED is making significant progress and at the moment has more than 80 clients and work with top companies in the country like societe BUNS, Buban Ngu Desco, Holy cross International College, University of Yaounde I, Sobaccul, Chemonics, Noble Energy to name a few. At the moment Camsoft group is heavily into the financial sector to create a platform that will revolutionize digital payment and financial inclusion systems in Africa
